Services

Personal
Care Companion
Personal Care Services include, but are not limited to, assistance with
any of the following: dressing, bathing, eating and one-person assist
with ambulation/mobility and transfers. Clients must be able to bear
some weight on
leg(s) to qualify for Home Companions’ Personal Care Services.

Cleaning
Companion
Including vacuuming and mop-washing floors, and folding laundry, cleaning
mirrors and window glass surfaces, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen
stovetops and counters, and dusting/cleaning baseboards and banisters.

Gardening
& Handyman Companions
Gardening Services include, but are not limited to, landscaping, gardening,
lawn care and yard work. Handyman services include minor repairs such
as leaky faucets and sinks, porch & stair repairs, installation
of bathroom safety bars, a/c unit and storm door switch-outs, cleaning
windows/ovens/refrigerators, etc. If you have a need, call and we can

Safety
& Health Companion
Home Companions provides Home Safety Assessments which include a personalized
review of each room in the home along with a written summary of safety
& health recommendations for a safe living environment.

Live-in
Companions
As an option to Assisted Living, Home Companions provides live-in Companions
for those needing assistance 24/7. Services are provided in the privacy
of your own home and tailored to meet your needs. Contract rates are
available for monthly and quarterly services. Services include various
levels of assistance in searching for a companion or providing and managing
one of our on-staff live-in companions.

Case
Management Companion
We offer a complete spectrum of Case Management Services provided by
our on-staff Licensed Social Worker. Services include family caregiver
support and consultation, crisis intervention & consultation, case
management plan research and development, independent and assisted living
research and referrals, client assessments, co-ordination of care, and
End-of-Life Care Planning. ASSESSMENT FEES BELOW ARE A ONE-TIME CHARGE:
Initial Companionship Assessment $25

Annual Association
membership is optional and is only $45/year. Members
enjoy a reduced hourly rate on all programs and more than a 50% reduction
on Information and Referral Service. Members also receive priority scheduling
during holidays and other peak periods.

also available for Home Companions’ popular Annual Membership.

Rates
Disclosure
All of the listed rates are in Member / Non-member order. Weekdays are
defined as Monday–Friday 8am–6pm. After-hours are defined
as weekends and Monday–Friday 6pm–8am.
Monthly
Billing
All clients with scheduled weekly visits will receive a deposit invoice
the week of the 15th for the upcoming month. Deposit payments are due
by the 10th of the service month. Final itemized services’ invoices
will be sent out the week of the 15th for the preceding month. Payments
and credits will be due/credited on the 1st of the upcoming month.
Late
Fees
Monthly deposit payments received or postmarked after the 15th of the
month will be assessed a $30 late fee. Final itemized invoice payments
for the preceding month received or postmarked after the 1st of the
month will be assessed a $30 late fee.
Mileage
Fee**
For your convenience companions are prepared to utilize their own personal
vehicles or client vehicles for transportation and errands. When Companions
utilize their own vehicles a $.70/mile fee will be added to your invoice
to cover gas and insurance.
Holiday
Surcharge
There will be a 50% surcharge for services received during the following
holidays:
New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents’ Day,
Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving
Thursday, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day.
Contract
Rates
Contract Rates are available for clients desiring overnight services
7 days a week or for companionship services ten or more hours per day,
5 or more days per week. Please call to inquire.
